Junk Removal & Haul Away General Terms and Conditions

 

Preparation

 
  • Appliances: All appliances must be emptied prior to removal, including refrigerators and freezers. Additionally, any water and gas lines must be disconnected before our team arrives, as our team members are not authorized to perform these disconnections for safety reasons.
  • Specialty Items: Certain items may incur additional fees or require extra manpower for removal. Please note, there may be some items we are unable to move or dispose of due to legal or safety restrictions.
  • Cleanliness: Our team reserves the right to refuse to remove unsanitary items or work in conditions that are unsafe or unsanitary.
  • Parking: Adequate parking must be available for our truck. Parking areas and walkways must be clear of snow, ice, and other obstacles. If you are concerned about potential damage to a private driveway from our truck, please inform us in advance, as My Junk Removal is not liable for damage after the fact.
  • Safety: Due to licensing and liability restrictions, we cannot remove hazardous materials such as flammable liquids, firearms, explosives, containers filled with gasoline or propane, medical waste, or other dangerous items.
 

Junk/Haul Away Day

 
  • Arrival Time: Arrival times are approximate and scheduled within a two-hour window in either the morning or afternoon. We will notify you if there are significant changes to the scheduled arrival time.
  • Children and Pets: For safety, please ensure that children and pets are kept away from the area during the removal process.
  • Weather: Junk removal will proceed in most weather conditions unless safety concerns arise due to extreme weather.
  • Liability: We reserve the right to decline additional services if they present a liability risk.
  • Inspection: Please ensure that all requested items for removal have been taken from the designated areas and loaded onto our truck.
  • Customer Representation: We ask that you or an adult representative be present during the entire removal process. If you need to leave the premises, please have another adult representative available.
 

Payment

 
  • Payment Method: Payment is due upon completion of the junk removal service. Accepted forms of payment vary by location. Please contact our office for details.
  • Estimate: The estimate provided is based on the information you provided and is intended to give you an idea of the cost. Actual charges will reflect the amount of space your items occupy in our container, along with any additional fees for specialty items or disposal costs.
  • Scheduling and Deposit: We may require a valid credit card or secured funds as a deposit when scheduling your junk removal. The deposit will be charged at the time of booking, and remaining charges will be applied to your credit card upon completion of services if that is your preferred payment method.
  • Tips: Our team members are allowed to accept tips if you feel they’ve done a great job, though tipping is completely optional.
 

Cancellations and Damages

 
  • Cancellations: We request that cancellations be made in advance. If our team arrives and you are unable to proceed with the scheduled junk removal, a cancellation fee may apply. Cancellation policies vary by location, so please contact the office for specific details.
  • Damages: Items designated for removal are not covered for damage. If there is damage to the premises during removal, please notify the team immediately so they can complete a Damage Report before leaving the site. If you discover damage after the removal, contact our office right away. The time period for reporting damages may vary depending on the location. Please note, no damage claims will be honored unless all charges for junk removal have been paid in full.
